Thankfully, I didnt have to venture too far from home this week to find inspiration for our theme 'toys'.

Funnily enough, there were a few toys who found their way into most of the photos - being
the favs of the month and all.

Week Ten

Week 10 and it really does feel like we have been doing this for a year already.

I am still really enjoying it, even on those days where I am madly scrambling for time and

inspiration.

This weeks theme of 'Kiwiana' had me really excited, however time was my enemy this week

with major and unavoidable work commitments and one small, very unhappy

child suffering from Tonsilitis...

So although none of my images were particularly planned, I think some of them definitely

encapsulate what it means to be a kiwi kid!

Looking forward to this weeks theme of TOYS - I have a whole house covered in them. It

shouldnt be too hard to find some hidden gems amongst the rubble..

Week 9

Another week complete and I can definitely say that I work better
and feel far more 'inspired' when I'm not thinking about a theme. So my
new aim will be to get at least one themed pic each week and the rest will
just happen as they happen!

A few experimental night shots this week and still quite a lot of practise required.
Poor Donald was forced to sit on the stairs in the semi-dark for an eternity at
some ungodly hour on Saturday night, but eventually we got there.

Week 8

What a week!

This week our theme was MOVEMENT and to be honest I thought I struggled last week, but this week was hard.

Im not sure whether it was the actual theme or whether it was my inability to follow any kind of instruction,
but whatever the reason (which I am sure I will be able to fully determine with time), I felt completely uninspired.
While several of my photos this week do have an element of movement in them - its almost all by chance.

On the bright side, I did learn a whole lot this week , thanks to our group's Saturday night rendevous in some
of Auckland's less desirable hang outs - dark, smelly wharves and motorway off-ramps;

* I was exposed to a new language - photograper speak. Apertures, ISO, stabiliser off.....my head
was spinning and I did a lot of nodding, uhuh'ing and not a lot of understanding.

* I learnt to take night time pics (although quite a bit of practice still required)

* I now know what BULB means when it flashes up on my screen

It was really great to meet everyone and I cant wait to now put
some of my new skills to practice.

Week 7

This week was my first week back at work after a glorious two week holiday.

Admittedly, I have struggled this week to find inspiration in my normal
day-to-day routine after being so spoilt for choice while on holiday. For that
reason, this weeks pics aren't all reflective of the groups weekly theme of 'nature',
but more a snapshot of my first hectic week back at work and that ever constant
juggling that normal daily life brings.

Week 6
